Fixed-Layout Ebook Design
Fixed-layout ebooks are a specialty ebook type that retains your formatting while making a file that ereaders and tablets can easily read. It’s more advanced than a PDF and includes custom magnification to make the book as useful as possible for readers. Looseleaf provides fixed-layout ebook design for comics and cookbooks. (We also provide print book design and reflowable ebook design.)
Each page in your fixed-layout ebook receives custom attention to ensure a reader-ready experience.
Kindle Formatting for Comic Books
Looseleaf creates comic books for Kindle format only. Kindles have the best presentation options for comic books and graphic novels. To create the same reader experience in another format would result in very large files to accommodate the detailed illustrations characteristic of comics.
Pricing = $75 (base fee) + $1.25/page
Fixed-Layout Ebooks for Cookbooks
Looseleaf creates fixed-layout cookbooks for both Kindle and EPUB formats. Because they typically include less illustration than comics, they’re more compatible with a wider variety of platforms and devices.
Pricing = $200 (base fee) + $1.25/page
“Kristy does a fantastic job every time. She’s punctual, thorough, affordable, and great to work with.”
Brian McClellan, author of the Powder Mage series
“Assembling a novel is akin to fitting ten thousand pieces of an intricate jigsaw puzzle together. Through several iterations of my manuscript, Kristy has been relentless in showing me where pieces were in the wrong place, were starved for elaboration, or belonged in an entirely different puzzle. The day I began working with Kristy was a fortunate day. I don’t want to imagine what my project would look like without her.”
Ron Felt, literary fiction writer
“Kristy is a joy and a pleasure to work with. She works quickly and efficiently with steep deadlines, and has an eye for detail that has helped me tremendously. She’s very dedicated to her work and treated my manuscript professionally, offering great critique and overall edits. I highly recommend her.”
Charlie N. Holmberg, Wall Street Journal bestseller
“Thank you very much. This [manuscript evaluation] is exactly what I need. You’ll likely hear from me again when it’s time for me to rework my query letter. Your help is invaluable. […] My novel has improved by leaps and bounds thanks to you.”
Ryan Williams, YA fantasy writer
